Comments: Isaac Phillip Stem (Nee: ) | TX United States | 1835-1850 | Comments: Isaac was born 1819 in Bedford County, Tennessee, the son of James Stem and Sarah "Sallie" Bullock. He fought with the first Army of the Republic of Texas from 1 Oct 1836 to 10 Oct 1837, was in the Battle of Plum Creek (TX) 12 Aug 1840, along with several other scrapes with both Indians and Mexicans. He returned to Tennessee where he married Lucy Ann Weaks in 1849. The first of his children were born in Tennessee before he and Lucy moved their family back to Texas in the DeWitt County area. They also lived in Wharton County, and Jackson County, before finally settling in the Limestone/Robertson County area, where Isaac died in 1893.
