Comments: Pamilia G. Currier (Nee: Cobb) | NH United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: *** PLEASE NOTE: Photograph was copied from eBay and I do not have the original, nor any additional information. All identifying and genealogical information was provided by the seller on eBay with the photograph. However, in *some* cases I may have done a little research on the name and added it to the comment field also as, "NOTE:", to help a researcher with the photograph. *** HIRAM G. & PAMILIA CURRIER: Tintype of a Man and Woman, Dated, ID'd - Civil War?. The man could possibly be a Civil War soldier but I can't really see his clothing well enough to identify them. In any event, this is definitely taken during the Civil War. The image measures about 2" X 3". The case is in fair condition and one-half of the case is missing. On the inside written on a piece of paper is "Hiram G. Currier was born Sep 14, 1834, Pamilia [wife] G. C., taken Oct 13, 1863." *** NOTE: A quick census search ( 1870, NH, Sullivan County, Claremont Twp) finds Hiram Currier, age 36, carpenter, born NH. Wife: Pamelia G. Currier, age 27, born NH. Son: Edgar A. Currier, age 6, born NH. Probably mother-in-law (Pamelia's mother?): Adaline(sp?) Cobb, age 69, born VT. ... I noted there was another older Hiram Currier living in Sullivan County, Grantham Twp, that may be this Hiram's father. There are also several other Currier's living next to this older Hiram that may be siblings ... Sounds like a match!!
