Comments: FRANK C HOWELL (Nee: ) | PHILADELPHIA PA UNITED STATES | c1860s | Comments: Found July 2003 Francis Howells Great Great Grandfathers Son - I believe this is the son of my gggrandfather, Zophar Carpenter Howell, of Philadelphia, PA. He had a son, Francis Carpenter Howell, born 1839, in Philadelphia. This would have put him at about age 20 in 1860. The clothes give the impression of being from a wealthy family, which he was. Also there is a family resemblance to another family photo. He would have been the brother of my greatgrandmother, Adelaide Howell
