Comments: Charles Eugene Dunn (Nee: ) | Rahway NJ United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of Charles E. DUNN which was taken at the A. Bogardus Studio in New York City, NY where he was attending the Union Theological Seminary as part of the Class of 1884. Charles appears to be in his 20’s at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Charles and his family:
Charles Eugene DUNN was b. 7 Jun 1858 in Rahway, NJ to parents Solomon Freeman DUNN (1835-1913) and Ann Elizabeth RADLEY (1835-1912) who were married 5 Apr 1858 in Plainfield, NJ. Charles had two siblings including Florence DUNN (1857 or 1867-1869) and Clara Owen DUNN MANNING (b. 1861).
Charles married Emeline “Emma” Matilda DEMAREST (1855-1948) on 14 Feb 1884 in Plainfield, NJ and they had 5 children including William Parmley; Allen Shoudy; Elizabeth Radley; Charles Eugene; and Robert Hayes DUNN, all born between 1885 and 1896. Charles died in 1915 and is buried in the Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ.
