The subject is named on the reverse as Eric Franklin Winser, aged 11 in 1896.
Having researched the boy concerned I discover he was born at Kegworth in 1894 and lived in the Manor House at that location. He served in the Notts & Derby regiment and was mentioned in despatches as displaying great galantry at Ramicourt on 3rd October, 1918.
