Comments: Annie Slosson (Nee: Trumbull) | NY United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: This photo of Annie Trumbull Slosson appears on page 365 of the Journal of the New York Entomological Society, vol.XXXIV, 1926. There is a three and a half page obit on her there. She was born in Stonington, CT 18 May 1838. She had eight siblings. Her older brother was James Hammond Trumbull, a distinguished philologist. Another brother was Henry Clay Trumbull, a chaplain in the American civil war among other things. Gurdon Trumbull was also a brother of hers. She was one of the first members of the New York Entomological Society. She wrote articles for the society journal as well as other publications. She also authored the book, "The China Hunters Club" written in 1878. She died 4 Oct. 1926 at her home, 26 Gramercy Park. That is all the information I have. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
