Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: A. E. Sherrington (Nee: ) | Walkerton Canada | 1901-1920 | Comments: This picture of Mr. A. E. Sherrington appears on page 402 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XXVI, no.10, October 1903. Please see that reference for more details. He was born in the Peel township in Wellington County in Canada. When he was fourteen his father died and left him in charge of the family farm. At age twenty-six he left home and took work on various farms where he could. He later rented a farm near Woodstock for three years. In 1883 he bought one hundred acres near Walkerton and later sold it. Later still he purchased seven acres near Walkerton and resided there as late as 1903. He was involved in horticulture, kept an apple orchard and also had experimental plots of plums and raspberries. Mr. Sherrington had an apiary of about fifty bee hives and a poultry yard. That is all the information I have on this picture. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
