Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Karen Kelly Kiss (Nee: ) | Niantic CT United States | | Comments: Sometime before 1970 as a Connecticut resident I bought two photos in Brass frames. They are more likely pictures of the same young man. They were purchased in an antique store which ‘by memory’ was on the corner of Old River Road and Rt 156. At the time the brass oval frame with its concave glass was its selling point and not the old pictures inside the two frames. A few years later, I moved to Australia which for the most part, I have lived for the last 36 years. Now after many years of moving for work relocations, the two frames and their pictures have reappeared from my many stored boxes. In the meantime since 2000 I have begun my own search of both my Irish/Polish heritage and my husband’s Aussie roots, tracing the family history and trying to unravel the mysteries of our own many unidentified photos. In that time I have thought often about these two photos and the young man in them. I would love to find their rightful ‘genealogical’ families for the cost of shipping the photos to them.
