Comments: Edward A Lilly (Nee: ) | Columbus OH United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of Edward LILLY taken at the Griswold & Smith Studio in Columbus, OH. He appears to be in his 40's or 50's at the time. It appears that the photograph may have been produced in the 60's or 70's, from a copy of an earlier photograph. He is identified as the father of Anna TEEGARDIN.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Edward and his family:
Edward A. LILLY was b. 9 Nov 1806 in Braunschweig, Niedersachsen, Germany to parents Philipp Carl Anton LILLY (1767-1839) and Luise or Louise Auguste Christine KIRCHHOFF (1774-1850). Edward was one of four children born to this couple including Wilhelm; Edward; Emilie; and Marie Laura LILLY, all born between 1804 and 1810.
Edward married Louisa P. FRANKENBERG or VON FRANKENBERG (1830-1886) on 14 Nov 1849 in Franklin County, OH. The couple had 5 children including Charles or Carl George; William or Wilhelm Augustus or August; Laura Dorothea; Laura Emily; and Anna Marie LILLY, all born between 1850 and 1860. Edward died 3 or 5 Mar 1870 in Columbus, OH and is buried in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, OH.
His daughter Anna LILLY was b. 11 Sept 1860 and married George Philip TEEGARDIN (1848-1940) in 1892. The couple had one child, Curtis Alleyne TEEGARDIN (1897-1978). Anna died 10 Feb 1939 and is buried in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, OH as well.
