Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Pluma Annette WHITELY on 6 Nov 1864). She and George are buried in Garrett-Mandeville Dutch Reformed Cemetery in Slaterville, Caroline Township, Tompkins County, NY. As far as we know, the couple spent their entire lives in the Southern Tier/Finger Lakes region of NYS. Of the couple’s nine children, four survived to adulthood: Emma, Charles Arthur, Frank and Frederick David. It was sometime during this second generation that the surname was changed from HOVER to HOOVER. (The cake was baked by Stella WILLBRAND Jenkins, the wife of George’s grandson, Edward Milton JENKINS.)
