Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

We need your help. 90% of our expenses are covered by donations averaging $10, though not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, we would have enough to operate DeadFred for a year. That's right, the price of a bottle of soda would do it. If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Henry Mallett (Nee: ) | Barnstaple Devonshire England | | Comments: Henry Mallett (1780-1858) pictured with his youngest daughter, Helen Mallett. He was born in Barnstaple, England but also lived in St. Heliers, Isle of Jersey, England where I believe this photo was probably taken. His wife, Mary Brimmacombe Mallett was already dead when this photo was taken. A distant cousin, told me that Helen was a lady in waiting to Queen Victoria but I have not been able to verify that. Henry disowned his two daughters, Catherine and Mary for joining the Mormon church and immigrating to Utah in 1852. Although they wrote him often, he never wrote or spoke to either one again.
