Comments: Edna B Howe (Nee: Palmerton) | Deposit NY United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of Edna PALMERTON which was taken at the Young Studio in Oneonta, NY in the 1880's. Edna appears to be in her teens at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Edna and her family:
Edna B. PALMERTON was b. 8 Sept 1872 in Tompkins or Deposit, NY to parents George William PALMERTON (1848-1927) and Josephine COOK (1850-1934). Edna was their only child and she married Grant Preston HOWE (1873-1931 son of Ralph Plumb HOWE and Sarah Maria PRESTON) in Tompkins Co., NY in 1896.
The couple had two children including Mildred Cook or Cecile HOWE (b. 1901) and Linwood or Lynwood Palmerton HOWE (b. 1910). Grant died in 1931 and Edna never remarried. Edna died Apr 1969 in Freeport, NY and is buried in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Deposit, NY.
