Comments: August Fisher (Nee: ) | Rochester NY United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of August and Wesley FISHER which was taken at a studio in Rochester, NY. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with the two appearing to be about 1 to 4 years old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the two boys and this family:
Wesley R. FISHER was b. 30 Aug 1902 in Rochester, NY to parents John Adolf FISHER or FISCHER (1850-1934) and Bertha Martha FIEKE or FIEGE (1859-1935) who were married 20 Apr 1892 in the United States. The couple had 6 children including Arthur John; Alvina or Allvina or Alirna Rose; Ella Kathrine or Cathrine; August; Wesley R.; and Laura “Loretta” FISHER, all born between 1893 and 1903.
John FISHER had one additional son from a previous marriage, William John FISHER (1885-1966). Records indicate that John may have previously been married to Catherine STEINHAUER. Wesley R. FISHER married Helen Elizabeth BUTTIS or BETTIS (1907-1986) on 25 Jun 1934 in Monroe County, NY. Wesley died in July 1962 in New York.
August FISHER was b. 18 Mar 1901 in Rochester, NY to the same parents and married Mildred M. STROHMAYER (b. 1904) on 19 Sept 1927 in Monroe County, NY.
