Comments: Ethel Mary Cox (Nee: Cox) | Oxfordshire / Bedfordshire England | 1941-1960 | Comments: Ethel Mary Cox was born on 30th May 1900 in Kempston, Bedfordshire - the daughter of Herbert Edwin Cox and his second wife, Emma Jane Cox (née Chandler). Ethel met a married man called Robert George Burgess (1874 - 1932) c.1917, and Robert soon left his wife to set up home with Ethel. They never married, although they claimed to be. They had four illegitimate children. Following Robert's death, Ethel married James Long, and had two more children. Ethel died in Bicester, Oxfordshire in 1987.
