Comments: Nanney Ann Landrum (Nee: ) | Hampton VA USA | 1851-1900 | Comments: Nanney Ann Nettles Landrum was Robert Landrum's second wife after he died during the 1860s she had to hire out her two boys to work hard to earn some money for them to live on. Someone stole the money they earned and she worried about it so much all of her hair fell out. Born around June 1813 she was 861/2 when she died, she lived for the last sixteen years of her life with (Kenny) Thomas Mc Kendra Landrum & Mary Elizabeth Nettles. Mary made her bonnets out of black taffeta for her to wear after her hair fell out. Aunt Naney's sister was Elizabeth Nettles Todd. Daily Press Obituary 12/8/1899 page 5 Mrs Naney A Landrum,aged 86 years died at the home of her son Mr T K Landrum, near Sawyers swamp, at the early hours yesterday morning. Mrs Landrum had been ill for some time and her death was not unexpected. The deceased was a most lovable and estimable Christian lady. The funeral service will take place from the Big Bethel church this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev Mr Allison will officiate at the services.
