George was 79 years of age when he passed away with Natural Causes. George enlisted in the army August 31, 1917 at Ft. Sam Houston, he was Discharged Sept. 28, 1919. George and his two brothers moved from Sweden to U.S.A. in the early or Mid 1800, They came into New Orleans, It is said that one brother moved to Tennessee, no one seems to know where the other brother went just someplace in the Mid West . George Washington moved to Cotulla Texas and he had 16 sections of land in a place called Artesian – Wells Texas .He was married there to unknown Hobbs –Died: May 1876 in Texas Buried: Cotulla or Artesian – Wells Texas . She died three days after Cynthia was born. There was talk that she was an Indian. They had two children, Son: Willie Clary Sr. Born: unknown Died: about 1904 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Married: Sarah Addie Wright Born: Jan.16, 1877 Died: unknown. Daughter: Cynthia Rebekah Clary Born: Jan. 7, 1876 Died: Jan.21, 1965 in Ballinger, Texas. Married: Alexander Shannon Burris Born: Jan.4, 1867 in Karnes County Texas Died: 1918 Buried in Breckenridge or Eastland Texas. After George Washington Clary’s wife died he remarried, Wife unknown, Willie did not get along with his stepmother, and she was mean to Willie all the time. One day when Willie had been working all day and came home his stepmother came out of the house and before he could get off his horse she started attacking him and giving him a hard time. So over the years he had taken all he could from his stepmother so he roped her and after dragging her around the house about three times he tossed his rope up in the air and rode off and never went back home. It was said that Cynthia was reared by her brother she grew up as a “Frontiers woman” in South West Texas she dipped snuff as was known to use a rifle to protect her land. She separated from her husband because he refused to work. It was said that when George Washington Clary died he had a very large feed bill against his land so his daughter and her husband paid off the bill and made claim on the land. Later Cynthia sold the land in Artesian-Wells Texas. It is said that they moved to Ballinger Texas for her husband tired of ranching and Cattle business they got to Ballinger and they separated and he went to work in the oil field and moved to Breckenridge Texas or Eastland in about 1918. They moved around a lot they lived in Breckenridge Texas, Cook County Texas, Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Ardmore Oklahoma and they went to Honduras Central America at one time looking for gold with no luck they moved to Oklahoma City Oklahoma, It was said that Willie got killed in his Bar and Casino club he owned that was about 1904 , Willie was a professional gambler, was told that he got shot several times for cheating in a poker game, and out there someone of this family knows where this news paper clipping is telling all about it. Willie’s son Willie Jr. said that his dad would come home and empty his pockets out and they were full of gold coins and nuggets. Was told that Sarah Addie Wright owned some land in Ardmore Oklahoma but didn’t know if her husband was living when she lived there or not .Was told that the land she had was sold for back taxes, and Sarah and their children moved to Breckenridge Texas.
