Comments: Lydia Suzannah Franklin (Nee: Stafford) | Anacoco LA United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: Lydia Suzannah Stafford Howard Franklin Young Thigpen Thomas, was born in Leon County, Florida 1806, thought to be daughter of Ellis Stafford, who escaped service during Revolution and settled in King Ranch area of Tallahassee. Lydia married Edward Lemuel Howard (a powder monkey who served on Scooner, during War of 1812, have posted her application, on www.usgenweb.org under Vernon Parish La. archives) 1827 in Leon County, he was killed, when a wooden oar hit him on back of head while he was on a boat, he drowned. Lydia remarried Esom Davenport Franklin (who also served in War of 1812) he died 1842, she remarried James Young and they appear on 1850 Census in Franklin Co. Florida, she disappears 1860-1870 said to have remarried twice more, to a Thigpen and a Thomas....she reappears living with her son Andrew Jackson Howard, on 1880 Census, in Vernon Parish, La. disappears again...is said to have died in Anacoco, Vernon Parish, La. at age 104, and this photo is her 104th birthday photo....
