Long's birthday party - family reunion ,he was 70 years young. The photo was taken at the old home place near Pine Log ,Ga . I recovered this photo from an old drug store in Cartersville , Ga. that was going out of business.This drug store would display old photo's in their front window and had a huge collection of familys from Bartow Co. Ga. This is my wifes granddad and grandmother. My wifes mother Elsie Long Cagle was a young woman when this photo was taken. Standing from left to right Virgil Toy Long 33 yrs old Elise Lena Long Cagle 31ysr old Grady Long 29 yrs old Winnell Long 18 yrs old Mary Long 27 yrs old Linnell Long 18yrs old -- twin sister to Winnell Sitting from left to right Janie Sarah Jane Long 37 yrs old Della Rosetta Long 39 yrs old Drewey W. Long 70 yrs young --- Granddad Nealy M. Thurman Long 68yrs young ----- Grandmother Everette William Long 35 yrs old Mr. Longs birthday was celebrated this way untill his death by his children and grandchildren.Mr. Long never owned a car or could he drive, he either walked or drove a team of horses .When I was a child my dad would pick Mr. and Mrs. Long up as they walked to church on Sunday mornings . Mr. Long was a Deacon of Mt. Pleasent Baptist Church and was ordained Oct. 6,1928
