Comments: Zack Phelps Kaye (Nee: ) | Louisville KY United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of Zack Phelps KAYE and Edward H. KAYE, which was taken at the Elrod Studio in Louisville, KY. The photograph is dated "Christmas 1903" with Zack identified as 43 months old and Edward as 17 months old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the boys and their families: Zack Phelps KAYE was b. 29 Mar 1900 in Louisville, KY to parents William Edward KAYE (1856-1938) and Harriet “Hattie” Elizabeth MCFARLAND (1877-1954) who were married 27 Jun 1899 in Mount Washington, KY. Zack had two siblings including Edward Hamilton KAYE (1902-1962) and Anna Lawrence KAYE WILCOX (1916-1987). Zack married Vera HOLLMAN or HOLMAN DANIELS (1900-1957) and they had a son, Robert (1919-1974). Zack died 25 May 1964 in St. Petersburg, FL and is buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery in that city. Zack had been living in Long Island City, NY until he retired in 1963 from the Hoffman Beverage Company. His obituary lists his surviving family members including his wife Mary, a son Robert K. KAYE, and a sister Dr. Anne KAYE of Phoenix, AZ. Edward Hamilton KAYE was b. 5 May 1902 in Louisville, KY to the same parents and he married Lorraine CHRISTIAN (1923-2015) on 12 Oct 1948 in Louisville, KY and they had one son. Edward died 17 Feb 1962 in Louisville, KY and is buried in the Cave Hill Cemetery in that city.
