Comments: Clyde Ellsworth Ward (Nee: ) | Madison NJ United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: I have two old studio photographs of Sheldon Elliott WARD and Clyde Ellsworth WARD taken at the W. H. Klinedinst Studio in Madison, NJ. The photographs are dated 25 Jun 1904 with the two appearing to be about 2 to 5 years old at the time the photograph was taken. Both photographs have a note that each of the children have duplicate copies of the photo.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the children and family:
Clyde Ellsworth WARD was b. 29 Apr 1903 in Hanover, NJ to parents Thomas Jefferson WARD (1870-1944) and Jennie E. WESTERVELT (1870-1948) who were married 5 Dec 1894 in Parke Ridge, NJ. Clyde had just one sibling, Sheldon E. WARD (1898-1978). It appears that Clyde married twice, first to Elizabeth J. GLADTH or GLATH (1908-1990) and they had a son, Walter George RUMMELL (1924-2010) and second to Edith J. DEAN (1905-2001) before 1930. Clyde died in Feb 1987 in Hackettstown, NJ and is buried in the Hanover Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
Sheldon Elliott WARD was b. 20 May 1898 in East Hanover, NJ to the same parents and married Mildred M. BUSH (1900-1976) and they had a son, Thomas Edward WARD (1932-2003). Sheldon died in Oct 1978 in Florham Park, NJ and is also buried in the Hanover Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
