Comments: Cecil Francis James (Nee: ) | Rossville IL United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: I have an old postcard photograph of Cecil F. JAMES which is dated 26 May 1914. There is no studio or location indicated, however, it was a gift "To Minnie" from Cecil. Cecil appears to be about 3-4 years old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Cecil and his family:
Cecil Francis JAMES was b. 31 Aug 1909 in Rossville, IL to parents B. Cecil JAMES (1890-1945) and Blanche CASE (1890-1959). Cecil had two siblings, Earl JAMES (b. 1912) and Glenn Eugene JAMES (1912-1954). Cecil was married twice, first to Vera Delores SULLIVAN (1915-1984) on 20 Feb 1934 in Colorado Springs, CO.
Cecil and Vera had two children including Thomas Cecil JAMES (1935-2015) and Gerald “Jerry” Francis JAMES (1940-2008). Cecil’s second marriage was to Alice O. HAMILTON (1913-2006). Cecil died 14 Nov 1992 in Lane County, OR and is buried in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Eugene, OR.
