Almedia Ireland Ballard was born 04 May 1871 in McLean, Illinois to Rev. Henry Howard Ballard (1822-1892) and Sarah Mann Stephenson (1830-1878). She married Charles Franklin Waltz (1874-1928) in Porter County, Indiana on 11 July 1898. '''''''In 1910, Almedia was residing alone in Mt Vernon, Jefferson, IL. After Charles died in 1928, she moved to Long Beach, Los Angeles, CA where she became a teacher. Interesting find: she wrote a short 3-act play that was published 26 Mar 1935. A google search shows that it has been digitized from the University of California. Almedia did 20 Marc 1946 in Los Angeles leaving no children and was buried Westminster, Orange, CA.
