Comments: John Quincy Colm (Nee: ) | Durham CA United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: Minnie Burdick (1880-1963) and John Q. Colm (1874-1952) were married at an elaborate wedding in the Burdick ranch home on June 8, 1904. Colm was raising grain on the Parrott Grant and for a few years owned and operated a livery stable in Chico. He later engaged in the raising of cattle and sheep and was a large shipper of stock. With the coming of the almond industry to this area, Colm planted considerable acreage. His wife was always interested in ranching and after his death in 1952, she not only continued running the ranches but expanded their operations and planted more almond orchards.
