Comments: James McGrath (Nee: ) | Glanworth, Fermoy Ireland | 1901-1920 | Comments: James McGrath, (10 Jan 1872-9 Mar 1948), was a son of Daniel McGrath, a Cooper, and Jane Mawe, (also spelled Maye) (c1849-1913) of Glanworth, Fermoy, Co. Cork. On 28 Feb 1897 he married Mary Condon (5 Aug 1866-6 Nov 1948) at the RC Church, Ballindangan. The marriage was performed by Fr. Eugene O'Riordan and witnessed by William Kirby and Kate Condon. Mary Condon was a daughter of David Condon (c1831)and Johanna Sheehan (c1833) of Glanworth, Fermoy. When he married James McGrath's occupation was that of Coachman. Later he apparently became an Estate Steward. When he died his Death Cert stated that he was a labourer. He died following 5 days of cardiac failure. James and Mary are buried together in Glanworth Old Cemetery. James and Mary had 11 children together.
