Pluma Annette WHITELY on 6 Nov 1864). She and George are buried in Garrett-Mandeville Dutch Reformed Cemetery in Slaterville, Caroline Township, Tompkins County, NY. As far as we know, the couple spent their entire lives in the Southern Tier/Finger Lakes region of NYS. Of the couple’s nine children, four survived to adulthood: Emma, Charles Arthur, Frank and Frederick David. It was sometime during this second generation that the surname was changed from HOVER to HOOVER.
