Comments: 1940s Man (Nee: ) | Germany | 1941-1960 | Comments: I think it is written in German. I think this photo was taken in the 1940s based on the fashion he is wearing, but it is a guess. It looks like he has a wedding ring. The cigarette is unlit, but is fashionable much like Clark Gable. The suit is a wool herringbone with light pin stripes. The rose in the lapel looks fake. The tie looks silk. The cravat around looks to be reminiscent of the grand flying days when the pilots wore scarfs around their necks, much like Charles Lind (1929). The key to the photo is the turned down collar on his shirt, very unique and uncomfortable to wear so had to be a fleeting fashion. The mustache is very pre WWII German like.
