Comments: Lovely Family (Nee: ) | | 1851-1900 | Comments: This is one of the most attractive family groups I've seen. Underneath the photo, someone wrote each person's name, starting from the left: Sybil, Kitty, Daddy, Phyllis, Brian, Mother, Hilda and then the second row: Eileen, Fritz, Baby Barbara, Evelyn; but alas, no surname is given. Judging from the clothing, this was a wealthy family (the mother looks as though she is wearing a linen skirt, and the jacket young Fritz is wearing is unusual). The type of clothing several of the young girls are wearing is very time intensive to sew and the mother looks very rested and at ease, so they had household servants, perhaps even a seamstress.
Other than the name of the photographers, the only other marking is "Rosslyn Hill Studio, Hampstead N.W." . There's no city or state.
3/3 Vern Paul writes **Re Photo #38400: The photographer was John Henry Killick with Killick & Abbott who operated Rosslyn Hill Studio at 399 Holloway Road in Hampstead, London NW, England, from 1889 onward
