They are identified on the back as, “Howard Hurlbard Gallup, age 5 years, 7 months” and “Abbie Resline Gallup, age 3 years, 10 months.” They are the only children of Benjamin and Delia S. Gallup of Chicago, IL. Photo was taken on Sept. 27, 1866 by Billings & Hough in Lebanon, NH. Sometime after the photo was taken they must have moved to Chicago or else the children had their picture taken while visiting friends or relatives in New Hampshire.
