Most of this group of 15 or so portraits were unidentified, though a few had penciled names on them, all in the same handwriting. Most were professionally done in east-central Wisconsin, e.g. Waupaca, Shawano, Neenah, Oshkosh, etc.
The original portrait, due to the work of two Find-a-Grave contributors, has been returned to a great-grandniece 5 states away from where it was found! Isnt internet WONDERFUL?
