Comments: Washington Heber Kimball jr. (Nee: ) | Ogden UT United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: Washington Heber Kimball Jr., born 17 Apr 1888 in Logan, Cache, Utah,was my great uncle. He joined the navy or merchant marines around 1902 or 1906. The last time his mother Mary Francis Kimball heard from him was in a letter dated 1910 from Cleveland, Ohio. In his letter he states that he was riding around the country on the rails, and stopping in towns along the way to work for a short time. We don't know if he died at age 22-23 or if he just never went back home to Ogden, Utah and settled somewhere and raised a family. He is in the 1900 US census,but not the 1910. His mother seems to think he went AWOL and was trying to hide away from the Navy
