Comments: Edward James McKernin (Nee: ) | NY United States | | Comments: Edward was the son of Charles Mc Kernin and Catherine Mc Donnell. He was born on May 4, 1876 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Edward had a brother William, a brother Francis (Frank) and a sister Julia E McKernin Fenner. Edward married Eugenia Leigh and they had two children: Helen Leigh McKernin and Dorothy McKernin. He served in the Spanish American War and was also a chiropractor in Manhattan, then Brooklyn. Before his death in Florida, he lived in the Holiday and Tarpon Springs area for 10 years. He is buried in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale Suffolk County, NY. This photo was taken on Thanksgiving Day, 1936.
